Christmas Eve Luminarias
You are invited to help neighborhood residents revive a special tradition in Olde Hermitage: Christmas Eve Luminarias!
With your participation, the community can bring back the warm, festive glow that once lit up our streets and made the evening magical.
How to Participate:
On Christmas Eve, line the street-facing edge of your property with luminarias. Here’s an easy way to make them:
- Use paper (white) lunch bags
- Add a few scoops of kitty litter or sand to weigh them down
- Place a votive candle inside the center base of each bag
That's it for preparation.

CHRISTMAS EVE LUMINARIAS
Date: Wednesday, December 24th
Time: At sunset
Location: Curbside at your residence
Instructions:
When the sun sets on Christmas Eve, simply light the candles and enjoy the beautiful display as our streets light up to guide Santa on his way!
We hope you’ll join in and help make this Christmas Eve extra special for everyone in the neighborhood.

Election of Directors for 2026
The Olde Hermitage Board of Directors will hold its annual meeting of the Association in January 2026. At this meeting, five (5) directors for the new year will be elected. From this group of five, these officer positions will be filled: President, Vice-President, Secretary, and Treasurer.
This notice is an invitation for you to express your interest in being a candidate for election to the OHA Board. Serving as a director for OHA is not a demanding job; there are usually 4 quarterly meetings during a calendar year, and for 2025, those meetings have been conducted via videoconferencing software.
If you are interested in being elected to the Board, please submit your name to the President, Mitch Wilhelm, or to any one of the other Directors, whose email addresses are on the Contact Us webpage of the OHA website ( Olde Hermitage Assoc Board of Directors 2025 ). We welcome all residents to consider volunteering.

Observe Neighborhood Speed Limit
The Board requests that all residents and guests driving in the neighborhood observe the posted speed limit of 25 mph. We have lots of people using the streets, including: residents who walk for exercise; dog walkers; parents with children in hand; parents walking with strollers and some walking with their dogs and children; and bike riders.
For the safety of all residents and users of our streets, please observe the speed limit; thank you.
Common Area Tree Damage
On Thursday evening, July 19th, a strong storm with heavy rain and winds occurred in our area. A bolt of lightning struck a pair of trees at the edge of the Common Area (C/A) on the west side of the bridge entrance. Two trees were felled by the strike, with one falling onto the Common Area grounds that are mowed, bringing down lots of vines and other brush debris. Within a couple days, President Mitch worked with a company to clean the C/A and remove debris back to the wood's edge. He also arranged with another company additional work needed to complete the cleanup and restore the Common Area.
